Jim and Bishops, I have some info on a Robert BISHOP who was an --
innkeeper-- in Baltimore in the 1750s on. There are many more deed abst.
that I haven't recorded yet. Maybe the tavern was involved with this man.
He is not my ancestor, but when your unsure you collect data on them all!

1750 Robert owned 150 acres "The Dock" (3, 79, 131, 153.) Barnes.

23 May 1750, John VILEY, late of Baltimore Co. but now of York Co., PA to
William WRIGHT of Baltimore, 40 pounds, 60 acres...fork of great falls of
Gunpowder River... patented by John and Luke WILEY. Signed John (x) WILEY.
Wit.: Luke WILEY and Thomas DULANY. Power of attorney to Robert BISHOP, of
Baltimore Co., Maryland. ("Baltimore Co. Deed Records, Vol. 3," 55-67,
Davis, John., p. 303-04)

24 May 1752, William DALLAM and George & Isabella PRESBURY, gentlemen, of
Baltimore Co., MD to Robert BISHOP, innholder, of same, 16 pounds, lot #39
in town of Baltimore. Signed William DALLAM and George PRESBURY. Wit.: John

4 Nov. 1756 James MAYES, of Baltimore Co., MD to John ROBERTS, of same, 50
