In the May 30, 1949 issue of Life magazine, there is a
story titled "Speaking of Pictures". These 68
veterans are all that survive of the 3,000,000 young
soldiers who wore the blue or the gray in the Great
War that ended 84 years ago.
Photographs of each one are shown. I will type their
