As the lists are a little quiet at the moment, as everyone
prepares for the Festive Season, I wondered if now might be a
suitable time to mention a couple of sites that often have
interesting articles (IMHO:-) ) on Dorset and that are sometimes
worth returning to from time to time and some folk might like to
bookmark for an after Xmas virtual stroll.

The current issue of the Dorset Magazine has an article, with
photos, on some beautiful stained glass windows in Dorset
churches, including:

Cattistock: St Peter & St Paul,
Upwey: St Laurence,
Burton Bradstock: St Mary’s Church,
Powerstock: St Mary the Virgin,
Bere Regis: Church of St John the Baptist,
Milton Abbas: The ‘Jesse Window’ at Milton Abbey,
Sturminster Newton: St Mary’s Church - see:

Dorset Life features:

Gold Hill, Shaftesbury (aka Shaston):
Verwood:
Dorset's most famous fairs: and a
Walk in the Maiden Newton and Cattistock area

I feel perhaps I should also mention John Allen's site which
includes some 800 photos of different parts of Dorset from Lyme
to Bournemouth and from Portland Bill to Gillingham

Season's Greetings
