L. C. Swords was Leonard Cramer Swords, the son of John Buchanon Swords and Su Briney Elizabeth Moon Swords.

John "Buck" and Su Briney had three children: Leonard Cramer, born 11/15/1881, died 9/18/1958; Lula Mae, born 6/21/1883, died 4/22/1935; and Jessie Leater, born 10/3/1894, died 12/7/1981.

John Buchanan Swords died 9/4/1940. Su Briney died 11/16/1923. They are buried with other family members in the Swords Cemetery.
