DEATH OF AGED CITIZEN

Sunday last at the home of a son, Mr. W. A. Copeland, near Rutledge, occurred
the death of Mr. R. W. Copeland, aged 91.
The remains were interred in the family lot at the Greensboro cemetery Monday
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with graveside services by Rev. James McD. Radford.
W. C. Hemperley was the undertaker in charge.
The deceased was a native of Greene county, the son of Jasper and Mary Furlow
Copeland, and was born May 25th, 1850.
In early life he was married to Permelia V. Winslett, who died many years ago.
There are three sons left--L. T. Copeland, Columbus, Miss., C. D. Copeland,
Griffin, Ga., and W. A. Copeland, Rutledge.

Additional Comments:
The correct spelling of the name is Copelan. R. W. Copelan is Rowan W. Copelan.
W. A. Copelan is William Alcestor Copelan (1882-1949). L. T. Copelan was known
as "Thad." C. D. Copelan was Carey D. Copelan.
