Hello Researchers:

In my quest to Identify the several Isham Thompson of Elbert co. I found
reference to identify who the Isham Thompson who had a wife named Sarah
in Elbert Co. Land Transactions belonged to.

He was the son of Benjamine and Anne Thompson

The following records came from "Georgis Society of NSDAR" Misc.
General Records, 1965."

taken from Taxable Property, Wilkes Co. 1785, Mrs. Davison's Book II)

Benjamin Thompson, 3 1/2 polls, 5 slaves, 200 acres Wilkes Co. and 575
and 287 1/2 acres in Washington Co., Ga.

Benjamin Thompson 1 poll, 2 tracts, 287 1/2 Acres each WAshington Co.

Benjamin Thompson sr. died in Hancock Co. on April 29, 1796. His will
showed considerable property. He was born in Ireland 1725--1730. Anna,
his wife, whose surname is not given died after 1802.

CHILDREN OF BENJAMIN THOMPSON AND WIFE ANNE: tHESE ARE NOT IN ORDER OF
BIRTH:
1. JESSE: D. 1781, marr. Mahala Green, died 1840: Revolutionary
Soldier.
2. William : died at age of 97. He was living with his son, John adn
wife Sarah. John had settled in Washington Co. at the same time that
John Thompson who was grandosn of the Rev. John thompson, Presbyterian
Minister, settled there.
4. Benjamin Thompson born Burke Co., N.c. 1758: died Hancock Co., Ga.
march 17, 1840, marr. Lustatia. he was Rev. Soldier also
5. John Thompson: died 1840, mar. Frances Clark, also a Rev. Soldier.
6. Gidean Thompson
7. Joseph Thompson marr. a "GAY" he was the first Thompson to die in the
Ceded Territory.
8. Zachariah Thompson (died bef. his father): Rev. Soldier also
9. REbecca Thompson marr. "McIntosh"
10. Nancy Thompson marr. "Cawley"
11. a daughter not named in will but her children were Benjamin Wood
and Joseph Wood
12. Isham Thompson marr. Sarah: Rev. Soldier.

He had 17 children but these are the only ones in our records.

Both Benjamin Sr. and Jr. were Baptist Ministers

Benjamin Thompson Jr married Lustatia surname not given died in Hancock
Co. Ga. March 1844. Benj. Jr. born Burke Co., N.c. 1758, died Hancock
Co., Ga. March 17, 1840.

1.Sarah Thompson: Born Aug. 31, 1794: died Hancock Co. Nov. 9, 1858,
marr. John dickson April 27, 1815.
2. Martha Thompson: born Sept. 8, 1812; died Hancock Co. April 25,
1851. Marr. Green Holliday Warthen, June 11, 1828
3. Lustatia Thompson marr. Theopoleus Goodwin, Nov. 11, 1819.
