It appears that Dolsin Sr. was an overseer from the 1850 census. Still not sure of his race. Also from the 1850 census I noticed a Broussard houshold nearby that owned slaves. I can only assume that Susan was a slave. Did find info cannot remember where though that Dolsin Sr and Susan had another child together named Francois. Family stories say he was the lighter child and Dolsin and he were not close. I believe Dolsin was born somewhere in Lafayette Parish. This is all I have.
