Hi Peter,
Thanks again.I wonder sometimes if dates are always correct.Anyway I now have his death certificate.
Thomas died in 1930 aged 75 so this would mean he was born about 1855`in Devonshire(sorry dont know where) He and Bessie White were married in Jampton Devon on 2nd April 1873`.Bessie White was born in Malborough,Devon.
He had been in NZ 50 yrs when he died so therefore came out in 1880.Two chn were 54 & 52 when he died,so that would make them born in 1876,1878 in Devon?.Their names were John(Jack)? and Ivy?.I have looked for them but cant find them anywhere.
Thomas would have been about 6 and so would have Bessie in 1861,16 in 1871
The other chns name were Elizabeth Christina Jane,Rosie Edith May,Jessie,.Charles Benjamin and another daughter unnamed at the moment.These chn were all born here in NZ.
