PETER MACKINNON, Nov. 13, 1996
BAY ST. LAWRENCE - Mr. Peter Simon MacKinnon, age 74, of Bay St.
Lawrence, Victoria Co., died Wed. Nov. 13, 1996, at the Cape Breton
Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born at Black Point, Victoria Co., he was the son of John Alex MacKinnon
and Annie (MacKinnon) MacKinnon.
He was a member of the Bay St. Lawrence United Church and was a retired
fisherman.
He is survived by his wife the former Mary Bonar: daughters, Clara (Mrs.
Hugh MacKinnon), St. Margaret's Village, Neldia (Mrs. Joseph Capstick),
Bay Road Valley; Betty (Mrs. Frederick Bonar), Meat Cove; Diane (Mrs.
Peter Fraser), Sydney; Connie (Mrs. Robert MacKinnon), Aspy Bay; Patsy
(Mrs. Stanley Buchanan), Bay St. Lawrence. Lucy MacKinnon, Sydney, Rose
(Mrs. Clarence Covey), Sydney, Colleen MacKinnon, Sydney; sons Allister
Kenneth and wife, Della, Aspy Bay, William Francis and wife, Catherine,
Sugarloaf, Richard Kevin and wife Amie, Peter Sheldon and wife, Paula
and JOhn Frederick Daniel, all in Bay St. Lawrence; sisters, Elizabeth
(Mrs. Archibald Timmons), Inverness, Margaret (Mrs. Leo MacKinnon),
South Ridge Road; brothers, Patrick, Francis, John Allister, Angus Dan
and Murdock, all in St. Margaret's Village. Also surviving and raised as
a sister and brothers are niece, Atlanta (Mrs. Simon Dan MacKinnon), Bay
St. Lawrence, and nephews, D.A. MacKinnon and Lee MacKinnon, both in St.
Margaret's Village; 25 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter Lilliam, son Tommy, brothers, Allister,
Donald and his sister, Catherine Fraser.
There will be no visitation and friends may visit the family residence
Friday. Committal srvices will be held Sat. at 11 a.m in the Bay St.
Lawrence United Church Cemetery with the Rev. Pete Cowley officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fillmore and Whitman
Funeral Home Ltd. As memorials, donations may be made to the Victoria
General Hospital, in care of Dr. Cloud Bugdon.

MURDOCK MACKINNON, Nov. 25, 1996
ST. MARGARET'S VILLAGE - Mr. Murdock Roderick MacKinnon, 61, of St.
Margaret's Village, Victoria Co., died Mon. Nov. 25, 1996, at the Cape
Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born at Black Point, Victoria County, he was the son of the late John
Alex and Annie MacKinnon. He was a member of St. Andres United Church,
Bay st. Lawrence and was employed as a fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, the former Susan MacIntosh; three daughters,
Christina (Mrs. James Timmons), Cheticamp; Helen (Mrs. Richard Timmons),
Pleasant Bay, Carol (Mrs. Robert Timmons), Pleasant Bay; four sons,
Roderick, Sydney, Tony, Baddeck, Christopher and Scott, both at home;
four sisters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Archibald Timmons), Inverness; Margaret
(Mrs. Leo MacKinnon), Cape North; Danenna MacKinnon and Atlantia
MacKinnon, both in St. Margaret's Village; six brotthers, Angus, John
Alex, Francis, Patrick, John Allister and Lee, all in St. Margaret's
Village and 20 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Sandy, Peter and Donald and sister
Catherine.
Visitation will be held at the home of his brother Patrick MacKinnon in
St. Margaret's Village after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral srvices will be
held Thursday, 2 p.m. in St. Andrews United Church, Bay St. Lawrence
with Rev. Pete Cowley officiating. Burial under the direction of
Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, will be in St. Andrews United
Cemetery, Bay St. Lawrence.

ANGUS DAN MACKINNON, Oct. 3, 1997
ST. MARGARET'S VILLAGE - Angus Dan MacKinnon, 69, of St. Margaret's
Village, formerly of Black Point, was called home Oct. 03, 1997, at
Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Neils Harbour.
He was born at Black Point, March 26, 1968, he was born again Feb. 09,
1976.
He was the son of the late John Alex and Annie MacKinnon, Black Point.
He was employed with the Department of Transportation until his
retirement in 1986. He is survived by his loving wife Christine A.
MacKinnon, 10 daughters, Willena, Selma, Angie, all at hoe, Josephine,
(Gerard Barron), Ingonish; Mary, Dominion; Millie, (David) Fraser, New
Victoria; Leonia (Brian) Anthony, Coxheath; Elsie, Sydney Mines;
Charlotte (Aubrey) Wadden, Marion Bridge; Jocelyn, (Bert) Barron,
Ingonish; and four sons, Franklyn, at home; Dan Hughie (Nicole), St.
Margaret's Village; Duane (Gloria), South Harbour; Robert (Connie), Aspy
Bay, four sisters, elizabeth (Archibald) Timmons, Inverness; Margaret
(Leo) MacKinnon, South Ridge; Alanta (Simon) MacKinnon, Bay St.
Lawrence, Danena McLellan, St. Margaret's Village; six brothers, John
A.; Patrick; Francis; D. A., Lee, all of St. Margaret's Village, Wayne
MacKenzie, Sydney.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by four brothers, Allister, Peter S., Donald, Murdock,
Alexsander, who died in infancy and one sister, Catherine Fraser.
Visitation was at his son's home, robert MacKinnon, in Aspy Bay, Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at Robert MacKinnon's residence today with
David Swan and Rev. Pete Cowley officiating with burial in United Church
Cemetery, Bay St. Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers doantions may be made to Palliative Care Unit in the
new Buchanan memorial Hospital Facility. Loving grand and great
grandfather, devoted husand and father, he will be greatly missed by all
who knew him.
