Helen Darlene Lannon, Glace Bay - We regret to announce the passing of Helen Darlene Lannon, 53, of 23 Daniel Dr., Glace Bay, who passed away in the arms of her loving son and family, Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Born in Drumheller, Alta., she was the daughter of the late Mark and Clara (Wareham) Hennessey. Helen was an active member of Epworth United Church, Glace Bay, and a member of the Unified Board of Epworth and Newsome Churches. She served as Sunday school superintendent in Epworth and was a member of Greenwood cemetery committee. She is survived by her son, Darren Lannon; sisters, Cheryl (Ernest) Sampson, Fredericton, N.B., Ann (Alex) Jones, Tower Road, Marina (Nelson) Clements, Glace Bay, Jolean (William) Sampson, Lincoln, N.B.; brothers, Wayne, Daryl (Lynn), Joe (Irene), Bruce (Deana), all of Glace Bay, Brien (Denise), Lincoln, N.B., and Sheldon (Tracy), Quispamsis, N.B. Also a special uncle, William Wareham, along with other aunt!
s and uncles, many nieces and nephews and several cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Blair. Visitation for the late Helen Lannon will be in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay, today (Thursday), 7-9 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be in Epworth United Church, Saturday, 2 p.m. By request cremation will follow. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

MacAULAY, Mary Rita - 77, Sydney, passed away November 13, 2002, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late William and Josie (Cashin) Hollohan. Surviving are sons, Gary (Diane), Kenny (Natalie), Ross, Robert (Susan), Allan; daughters, Donna (James), Debbie (Calvin), Linda (Reid), Colleen (Frank); brothers, Tom (Annie), Richard, Ted (Joan), Donnie (Inez); sisters, Madeline, Elizabeth, Margie; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Malcolm; two brothers; a granddaughter. Funeral 11 a.m. today, November 16, 2002 in St. Theresa's Church, Father A. MacDougall officiating. Burial in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel.

MacISAAC, Sister Mary Thomas - 93, Sister of Saint Martha of Bethany Motherhouse, Antigonish, passed away November 14, 2002, at Bethany. Born in Port Hood, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Ellen (MacIsaac) MacIsaac. Sister Mary Thomas entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Martha on May 28, 1929, and pronounced her first vows on May 25, 1931. She spent 54 years ministering in several phases of household management services in various areas where the congregation served. In Nova Scotia, Sister served in Antigonish at St. Martha's Convent; St. Andrews Convent; Coady International Institute and Bethany. In Guysborough at Star of the Sea Convent, Canso. In Cape Breton at St. Charles Convent, Dominion; St. Rita Hospital, Sydney; St. Joseph's Hospital, Glace Bay. In Ontario at St. Augustine's Seminary, Scarborough. She retired from full time active ministry in 1985, but continued helping around Bethany on a part-time basis. In November 2000 due to failing hea!
lth, Sister Mary Thomas moved into the Extended Care at Bethany, remaining there until her death. Sister Mary Thomas was the fifth in a family of seven children, and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by brothers, John and Angus Francis; sisters, Mary, Anna Hooper, Katie MacNeil and Margaret Devonshire. Burial 2 p.m. today in Bethany Chapel.
