The following was found in the Tewksbury Almshouse Inmate Case
Histories, Vol. 44, 11/1885 to 4/1886, Tewksbury, MA, cases 76601 and
76601 - Robinson, Georgianna, 23, came there from Lynn Nov. 13, 1885.
76602 - Robinson, Herbert, 2 1/2, feeble.
Mother born in Nova Scotia, child in Lynn. Single, domestic. Came to
Lynn 2 years ago and been there since. Father of her child, Joseph
Sims, a white man, works in a shoe shop in Lynn, is 24 years of age. He
lived with his parents, Richard and Charlotte, on Chatham St., they now
in Annapolis, N. S. Georgianna has no relatives in Mass. She received
on Jan. 7, a letter from her mother at 5 Clayton St., Providence, saying
that she would provide for her and child. Sent her to Providence, R. I.
Discharged Jan. 13, 1886.
