Some years ago on a trip to Oklahoma we were able to develop records on a
number of my wife's ancestors from a funeral home in a small town. The local
priest was singularly uncooperative and missed out on the usual overgenerous
donation she usually provided. I learned that funeral homes were a good
place to look if all else fails.
