Regarding whether Bernadette is helpful varies on the degree of detail you
provide her. If you give her a specific name she will usually look it up.
If you give her a specific date she will let you look in the official source
document but don't let her see you look in another year or under another
name.

If you go to the cemetery the caretaker there is most helpful and all I had
was the name and date but no idea of where it was located in the cemetery.
He reviewed the master plot records and was able to find the exact location
even though there was not even any marker or stone on the ground.

I was able to get the exact date of internment and the naming of the
cemetery by looking up the 3 tapes of burial records in the Troy library.
They go from 1833 to 1867 or so then from 1868 to 1880 and then a third one
from 1881 to about 1900.

They don't have any record of burial location for about1868 or earlier.
They can point out location near the front which is called the "old"
section.

Good luck.

Mike
