Pam, I have a hand held but have not truly put it to the test.? It has worked well on documents at home; newspapers, etc.? But takes some time getting used to.? It is the "docupen" and can be found at planon.com

I was wondering what researchers experiences are with these devices.

Has anyone ever used a hand-held scanner to copy stuff in a library? I have
used a digital camera with some success but was wondering if the hand-held
scanner is better, or is the copy machine the best way to go?

I am planning a trip to SLC and want to take the best devices for a quick scan.

Curiosity kills the cat....
