Folks,

When TIGS member Heffern8 (can't remember seeing your first name) sent
the note, I did take it to be a joke. A really funny remark. What was
said in the 1907 newspaper is history. We have all spent lots of time
reading old letters, newspaper articles, etc. while researching our
families. There are other details in those pages, that may not be
flattering. We all also know that even today there are small and large
problems between different ethnic groups. This is part of our reality.
I also find the old articles interesting, even if my father's
misbehavior is not revealed there. The fact is nobody gets to choose
their ancestors. We can move on hopefully.
