Hi Gerald. I enjoyed your email very much. I'm not related to any of the
players, but my dad, Tom Diviney, grew up on Second Street in south Troy
with the Evers boys. Johnny Evers was about 10 years older than dad. Dad's
oldest brother, John Diviney, played on one of the Troy teams with Evers,
and my dad was the bat-boy. My sons all played baseball (just at Little
League and high school level) and loved to listen to dad's stories of
old-time baseball. I forwarded your email on to them because I knew they'd
like reading about Troy and Evers. If you have more stories about Troy and
baseball, feel free to email me off-List. Terry in Michigan
