Funny that there is no mention here of the Lansingburgh Haymaker team that
later moved to Troy to become the NL team "Troy Trojans". The Troy team was
disbanded in a few years the management and most of the Troy players moved
to NY city to become the NL NY Giants. The Troy Trojans are still an
honorary NL team.
So it can be said the seeds of the current day NL team SF Giants were
originally planted in Lansingburgh NY.
