misappropriation of funds from the City Treasury.Carrington hastily packs a
small bag with clothes, a small rug, a small looking glass and other little
items. His jailer takes him to the tracks on Sixth Ave where a special Pullman
car is waiting. He’s put on board and sent on his way at 11 pm.
