Three more churches have recently been added to the Church Memorial and Family Name data base on the Troy Irish Genealogy website.

The three newly added churches are:

Christ Church United Methodist, Troy
Oakwood Presbyterian, Troy
St. Paul the Apostle, Troy

This brings to 11 the number of churches that are listed on this new TIGS project. This number will increase as we complete work on some additional area churches that are currently being worked on.

To see a short history of each church, photographs of the outside and inside of the church and an alphabetical index of all family names associated with memorials contained in the church, go to the TIGS website www.rootsweb.com/~nytigs/ click on PROJECTS and then click on CHURCH MEMORIALS AND FAMILY NAMES.

A number of these inscriptions contain dates of marriage, birth dates and death dates. Hopefully you will spot one of your relatives listed on the memorials.
