As Bob suggested, here is the information which I have at this time. My
source for the information has been Casey County Marriage and Census
records, Pauline Overstreet ( my mother in law) and many of the living
descendants who are included. The James Thurmond Overstreet descendants
meet each August for a family reunion. It has provided an opportunity to
collect data from living relatives.

Any additions or corrections appreciated! Thanks to everyone who has
provided help.

NOEL #610, b. 14-Feb-1865, d. 23-Jan-1921. Early Marriage Records of Casey
Co., KY Vol 1 1807 - 1900 Casey County was discovered in 1779 by Col William
Casey great grand father of Mark Twain (Samuel L. Clemens). In 1791, many
veterans of the Revolutionary War came to this section and settled and
through these men, along with General Christopher Riffe, the county Seat of
Liberty was named. When the War of the Rebellion (Civil War) broke out Casey
County was in sympathy with the Union and raised 1/3 of the famous First
Kentucky Cavalry Regiment for the US Army.
