As descendants of Jessie Hyatt Ransom Nicol, daughter of Miles Forman Ransom and Adelaide Delpeuch Lent, several cousins and I have oil paintings painted by Bess Bass whom I believe was a friend of Jessie Ransom.  Some have as subject matter the landscape and a flower canopy around Hazel Dell Farm which my family (including the Lamoreaux family) owned before and after 1900.

Does anyone have additional information about Miss Bass?  I would be quite interested in knowing more about her and her talent.
