Hi Just a thought,
does anyone else have the genealogy of the Pennefathers. I can`t remember if
I sent off to anyone.they are on A3 sheets, not transcribed at the moment.
Dated up to around 1856 from GOMS.176
I also have a copy of Westby Percival`s will where he leaves amounts to
people including a Mrs Pennefather dated Nov 1836.

If anyone wants a copy I have it on pdf and can send by email. I`m trying to
work out how to put it up on my blog (pdf) maybe I`ll be lucky tomorrow.

Please help.

I've only recently become aware of this newsletter so am appealing for
help/opinions on our problems with Irish connections. I'm assisting
friends with their family line starting with Constance Aimee Forbes
Pennefather b Malta 1895. Her father was Robert Forbes Pennefather b
1861 Kilkenny Ireland, parents John Pennefather and Susan Darlington.

First query, Is this the same John who married Emily Courtney four years
later 1847? and therefore the son of Edward Pennefather and Eliza White?

Second query, Edward in some records is stated to be eldest son of John
Pennefather but in other records doesn't appear in that family where
John's wife is Elizabeth. Would it be safe to assume that Edward was the
offspring of his first marriage to an unknown lady.


Any information/ comment /opinions would be gratefully received
