Hello Sue,

The only thing so far that I can find was the SHIP THAMES arriving in Philadelphia from London in 1832. As far as I can gather it was a passenger ship but don't know if it was a steamer. I have a friend that lives in WellSend, England right on the Thames River. I will email her and ask if she may get some information about this ship for me. I haven't gone through all the pages that I have found on google. I did go through the ships transcribers guild did not find much. I will email her tomorrow and see if she can dig anything up for you.

Hello Sue,

The only thing I could find on The SHIP THAMES in 1820 that it was a slave ship. I went into google and put in Ship Thames 1820 and that is what I found. You may want to try that too and see if it is correct. Would you be willing to give me the name of the passenger and maybe I can help look further for you.

I have been unable to find a description of the Ship Thames. An ancestor arrived in the US from England on this ship in 1820. Any help determining what type of ship the Thames would have been would be appreciated. I do have the ship's passenger list, but that does not indicate the type of ship.
