It looks as if 53a Kronprindsens Gade, Charlotte Amalie is now a government
building (perhaps someone with local knowledge could confirm this and
perhaps point me to a photo of the building?).

There appear to be 18 people listed as living there in 1857 (three families
and a series of 'individuals'). Occupations vary from mason, seamstress,
cigar maker and tailor so this doesn't appear to be a workplace.

The building is given on the census return as belonging to Joseph Daniel
(who does not live there). As a matter of interest does anyone know
anything about this Mr Daniel?
